CONCERT CAR
Car-sharing for musicians going to their concert venue made easy
We first asked ourselves, how will the future of car sharing look like ? Since we are 4 musicians, we thought that the car sharing experience could become more personal and more focused about music. We therefore created mindmaps, to connect our different ideas and develop new ones. Inspiration 1 Inspiration 2 Inspiration 3 Inspiration 4 Then, we finally had an idea. Musical instruments and equipements for concerts are often heavy and take a lot of space. When they want to go to a concert place or to travel, musicians need big vehicles to take their instruments with them and if they do not have big vehicles, it becomes complicated. That is why we created Concert Car. Our app allows individuals with large cars or vans and who like music to get in touch with musicians or music groups who want to get to their concert venue in exchange for tickets for their concert and/or other perks.
This app will allow musicians to find the perfect vehicle to get to their venue with all their equipement for an affordable price. The drivers will be doing a good deed and will be able to spend a nice evening, and moreover he will get in touch with people he shares the same interests with.
That is why the best aspect of this app is the social aspect. Indeed, both parties will get to meet new people who share the same interests.

Our app will be designed for musicians, especially young and debuting musicians who do not have the money to afford transportation for their instruments. Our app will also be designed for our drivers, who will mostly be music and concerts' lovers and people who want to help young musicians debuting.
Our app will be designed as other car sharing apps but will allow musicians to say what kind of music they do in order for drivers to choose the individuals they want to drive. Musicians will have a profile on which they will be able to share what music they make or who they are. This will help the social aspect of our app, it will bring people with the same interests or music tastes, or just people who want to meet together.
Our main competitors are BlaBlaCar and Trusk. We differentiate from BlaBlaCar because with each drive we offer space for musicians to bring their instruments and devices with them. We differentiate from Trusk because our app will be like a social media : instead of simply paying for the ride, musicians will be able to invite their drivers to their events/concerts or to invite them to a restaurant.
People will surely download our app because it is convenient but also because it will work as a real social network. Musicians and drivers will have their online profiles to share what kind of music they like and who they are and people will be able to meet according to their music tastes and interests ! Besides, our app will offer multiple choices to "pay" for the ride, which will bring people closer together !
The beginning of an adventure
We first created wireframes, to test our app among potential customers. It was very important for us to make sure that the market was ready for such an app, and that customer understood how it worked. Therefore, we asked people to try navigating through the app, with a precise scenario, to see if they managed to get the result they wanted and if they liked it. We had several different results, but overall the users said that the app was easy to use and to understand but that the design was not good enough. We took their feedback into account, as you will see in the next section. Users also said that they saw the potential of this app, especially with the social aspect, which helped us gain confidence in our project. You can check our user tests for more details.
Our mockups and ideas !
Our team designed a mockup on Figma in order to be able to test it on users and to see wether our project could be a good app or not. We decided to use a very simple design for our first tests, to be sure that potential clients would understand the purpose and the running of the app. Here are a few examples of the content we created. We are now looking for help in order to launch our app. If you are a developer or a designer and if you wish to participate in a great project, this job is for you ! We indeed need certain skills that we do not have, in order to make our app viable and ready to use. First, we would need to implement a payment platform on CONCERT CAR, to allow those who want to pay their ride to directly pay via the app. Then, we would like to have a mapping system in order to help customers choosing their departure and arrival locations but also to allow them to check on their driver when they are waiting for the ride. Even if this is not the most important feature of our app, since it is more like a social media, it would still be useful to integrate a system like that in our features. Finally, we would like to increase the "social media" dimension of our app, in a more design and efficient way, to appeal to every customers and to make sure that they will want to stay on our app. The design of our app could for example be inspired by this, or this.
What about the future ?
Our project could grow with your help, and could become even bigger than what we thought it could be. We have several ideas for a future growth potential. For example, our app could include a feature for non musicians who just want a normal car sharing but with the possibility to choose the way they want to rettribute their drivers and to choose a driver with the same music tastes, in order to spend a good time.
